Naturing Nature attending the Bee Weekend RHS Harlow Carr 3-4 June 2017

“I contacted George about supporting our Bee weekend at RHS Garden Harlow Carr. I was keen to have a wild bee element to the weekend as well as honey bees and beekeeping. George was not only informative and entertaining, he was a great help to me spreading the RHS message about how people could encourage bees to their gardens and support our Wild about gardens campaign. I can highly recommend George and his Bee observation kits, I will certainly be using him again in the future when talking about nurturing our bees. We are now the proud owners of a bee kit at the garden just hope some bees move in next year.” Amy Croxton Events Manager.

All welcome to listen and learn about our wild bees

After years of painstaking wild bee observations and experimentations,  George created the award-winning Nurturing Nature Bumblebee Nest Box and Solitary Bee Nest Box. In light of the dramatic decline in the wild bee populations, George has concentrated on researching the behaviour of garden bumblebees and garden solitary bees, to gain insights into how populations could be increased. He is the author of two popular books and is a keen, enthusiastic and practising organic and wildlife gardener. You can also pick up the RHS Wild about Bees action pack, which contains information from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust

George will be on hand 11 – 4 demonstrating his products, offering advice and will deliver two specialist talks at 1 pm & 3 pm each day

We will also be showing you how to sign up to the Friends of the Earth Great British Bee Count. It’s going to bee a hive of activity!
