Queen Bombus hypnorum with lover AND escort in my wildlife garden
I heard a very heavy deep sounding bumblebee buzzing sound near me and lo and behold it was a queen Bombus hypnorum with a male who was mating with her and on her back was another male. I have never seen this behaviour before and thought it worthy of filming.
If I get a little more time I may research this and add it to this article.
