Spider with eggs inside solitary bee nest box video

Welcome Mrs Bee to my home. Meet my family!!!

Spiders and other creature use solitary bee nest boxes overwinter. This female had her eggs inside and was watching over them. This is just one example of why you should have a solitary bee nest box that you can access for cleaning and see what is inside before you put them out in readiness for solitary bees to nest in! Red Mason bees will be flying soon!

The spider and her eggs were safely removed leaving my solitary bee nest box predator free for when the female bees arrive. Checks yours out before you set them up, there may well other creatures inside your nest boxes that would welcome the presence of Red Mason bees, their eggs and pollen!
