Life and death struggle for the unfortunate hoverfly larva

Having a little time to go looking amongst the wildlife meadow brings rewards. I have never seen this before, and the action caught my attention. A parasitoid wasp is attempting then succeeding to oviposit inside an unlucky hoverfly larva.

The wasp larvae eat the hoverfly larvae while inside its body

Here we have a biological pest controller, the hoverfly larva predating upon aphid pests, itself becoming a prey item for the Ichneumon wasp larvae. A quick internet search reveals a hoverfly parasitoid Ichneumon wasp, which I suspect is Diplazon laetatorius
