Filming hedgehogs safe inside my hedgehog feeding station
Its great to have one hedgehog in your garden but to have two and film them eating makes my day! One has been visiting regularly for some time now. I noticed that sometimes ‘my hedgehog’ seemed to be getting smaller and was visiting at a different time than usual…….you cannot really tell until you see them both together.
I noticed the smaller one left the feeding station from the right and entered at the other side entrance and started to sniff at the rear end of the larger hedgehog. When they left and wandered off into the darkness of my garden, after a few minutes I heard some different hedgehog noises coming from some undergrowth….. fingers crossed!
They love my homemade 100% organic food mix so much so that I have to fill up again before I go to bed and one morning very early just at dawn, I got up to see the food being eaten by a hedgehog.
NB. As ever things change and science moves on. I would not recommend my food mixture anymore there are better foods available, in particular dried mealworms. This article should be read from the Hedgehog Street website. “What to feed hedgehogs and the danger of too many mealworms”

How lovely George, wish we could keep them in our garden, we’ve tried to attract them but I think we are too near the river which runs alongside us.

Hi I love this, do you still make them and can you give me the measurements please. I have 4 hedgehogs come to feed each night, sometimes altogether and just wondering if there is room for them to get past each other in this as there has been some squabbling in the past. I also wondered if it has a full base in and a way of lifting the roof for cleaning purposes but with a safety latch so predators can’t get in?
